    Envious of the blues

Looks like their takeover is imminent. They’ve endured some crap since relegation..just wish it was us , bit grumpy today and hearing this news just tops it off. Good luck today everyone, we’re gonna need it.

Takeovers don't mean a lot these days. The big clubs were always United and Liverpool, though a lot more smaller clubs had a chance of winning a trophy if they had the right manager and scouts.
Chelsea who hadn't won as much as us until Abramovich took over instantly became the most powerful club in the country until eclipsed by City who were a struggling club until taken over by the Arabs.
Wolves who were hovering between the championship and league one shot out of the division like a cork out of a bottle when Fosun took over.
But the day's of instant success are coming to an end. The major trophies in the next decade will be won by one of four clubs. The premier league is a closed shop. Even Spurs can't break the monopoly.
Our day's of challenging for trophies are long gone. Just enjoy the club for what we are.

Like Boingy, I hope it works out for them. They deserve a bit of luck after all they have gone through (strangely much of it due to Chinese owner &#129300. They should pick up a tidy sum from Jude Bellingham's transfer too. Tbh, I'd prefer all the Midlands clubs to do well rather than just the Vile. Just wish we had a bit of luck in getting a new owner ourselves!

Ugh, getting Lai as the club owner was like getting a fatal dose of Covid, horrible little runt.
