He's under contract with Norwich until 2024 with an extra year's option. Unless he's convinced he won't get game time there (or get loaned into a good L1 side) I think it'd be very tough to convince both man and club to let us sign him.

Well was listening to AM here, starts 5:30 in:

Seemed like there's a glimmer of hope there, in terms of how he talked about next steps around 12:20.

Thanks for posting. That was well worth listening to. He comes across as a mature and very decent character. Probably too much to hope that we could hang on to him, but we'll just have to wait and see.

Good listen and sounds like a level headed and honest guy. Did do a double take when he said that referees have to “pluck up the courage”. There’s been a lot of occasions in the past where referees have done what I initially mistook Archie to say.

My sauce is so far quite on whether there is any prospect of Archie and Notts continuing their futures together. In any event it sounds as though nothing will be decided until he goes back to Norwich at the end of June. Obviously, if his future lies elsewhere then we all wish him well and thank him for his contribution in getting Notts back in the EFL.

I thought he played very well when he got game time (certainly confident on the ball as is required these days) and he certainly didn't do any harm to his standing at Wembley. He should, and probably will, play higher than L2.

As others say there's no sentiment in football and well worded by LW. I would have liked to see if Ed Francis could play the defender role in our team. I seem to remember he has experience there but probably very much too lightweight.

I'm extremely excited to see who we bring in.
