National League - Highs and Lows

    So now we’re out.

Best performance? Tough one. Wrexham home probably, on first half performance.

    Worst ? Dover….Hornchurch?

Best ground visited? Probably York, just for THAT goal by Quevin.

    Worst ground : Dover.

Best player (Notts) : Palmer for me.

Best Player (Not Notts) : Mullin

Worst player (Notts) : Still deciding

Worst Player (Not Notts) : Paul Rooney (Dover)

    Any offers?

Gateshead on a freezing summers night having to walk up the hill and to find there was no roof on the stand...
Dorking Wanderers , one wabbly portaloo
    Aldershot, Bloody drummers
Solihull, Burger van next to the toilets.
Harrogate. 3 portaloos for 800 supporters.
    Barrow. Shi*thole

Thank god we are finally out of this hell hole of a league. I really dont know, in this day and age how so many of these clubs are allowed to trade with such disgusting facilities...

We’ll find out if Harrogate and Barrow have improved on those facilities.
Apparently Salfords new ground is nice but they only get lower NL attendances.

The high for me is watching Notts stabilise, being consistently competitive and now like the Phoenix out of ashes. Having a club we can be proud of. Having owners who have massively contributed to my last couple of statements. I wonder what would have been if we’d have stayed up?
The low, as other have put, being in it. The non performances against the like of Dover and Harrogate (final).

I know everyone looks for different things, but you’ve probably named the four best away trips since we’ve been down here there haha. Harrogate August 2019, Solihull Christmas 2019, Barrow Spring 2020 and Dorking September 2022 were all absolutely brilliant days out. Halifax August 2022 and Torquay Spring 2023 also well worthy of a mention.

The best performance I saw was this season at home to Southend. We were relentless all game and played with total control and intensity. It was the one and only time I thought we'd actually go on to win the league, but that didn't last long (we lost to Dagenham next game).

Best performance - Wrexham first half or against Stockport at home.

Worst performance? Woking at home, somehow lost 3 or 4 nil was it….I was worried at this point. There’s been some terrible FA trophy games too.

Best ground visited - I liked the Oldham ground. Bit of a dump but it has character.

Worst ground - Barnets is tidy, but really soul-less.

Best player - Palmer. Special mention for Ruben.

Worst player - Casper Sloth, at least everyone else gave it a go.

Best not Notts player - Mullin

Best goal - Castro v York city, Ruben v Dagenham, Reeves v ‘no idea fc’, Eli Sam v Oxford city.

Best memory - Winning goal v Chesterfield in the Burchnall covid season was great but Baldwins equaliser v Boreham Wood was special for me because I felt like it was all over.

Worst memory - Playoff loss v Grimsby, never felt so dejected after a game. IB left a few days later and I felt then we were ‘doing a Notts County’
