Quite remarkable how quickly you can fall in life.
Three and a half years ago he’s PM after gaining one of the greatest victories in political history and now that career lies in ruins.
Many said it would and they were right and I was wrong.
A shallow character with a deep layer of hubris.
Like you, I thought Boris was what we needed at the time and still not sure there is a force out there that perhaps worked, and continues to work to see him gone. British politics is at an all time low, a low not seen in perhaps mine or even your life time. The alternatives do not bare thinking about.
Starmer……. God help us. We need something like a real leader. Where that come from God only knows. Sunak, possibly? Time will tell. We definitely don’t need a dithering leader like Starmer. He is an embarrassment.
At the moment its impossible to have a strong leader of the Tory party, because you were either Brexit or anti Brexit so either way half the party are ready to stab you in the back at any one time, I agree Starmer needs to grow some balls and stop sitting on the fence on lots of policies.
Boris undoubtedly had charisma and he obviously appealed to big swathes of the electorate but, at heart, he appears (very much like Trump) to have been more interested in the promotion of himself than anything else and had no real political ability and even less integrity. That the Conservative Party have continually eroded access to legal aid yet BJ has been able to get it speaks volumes. His "honours" list being accepted is a disgrace.
The real problem though -as others have pointed out-is the lack of a credible alternative. I had initially hoped that the boring appearing Starmer might prove to be at least a "safe pair of hands" but he has done nothing whatsoever for me to warrant putting much faith in him.
Politics in this country is, indeed, at an all time low and meanwhile the gap between the have and have nots grows, the economy remains fragile, the old bugbears of housing, education and the NHS remain big issues and no-one seems to have the bo llocks to stand up to the current dangers of cancel culture against freedom of speech and the extremism of the latest woke brigade who are emboldened enough to proclaim that trans women who still have a d ick are real women and that anyone who denies this are bigots. That graphic showing the confusing web around Albion's Chinese ownership (thanks for posting btw) just seems to reflect the general dire state we are in😞
He is a coward for cutting and running.
On the same day as his mentor in America goes further down the greecy pole.
A right pair them two...🙄
