    Some bull being spouted about

The "windrush" generation who apparently saved the UK.

    Absolute and utter tripe

I thought it was interesting. Perhaps those who came here have actually done more with their lives and the opportunities they generated for their children, than those who stayed behind. Might be interesting to do a reverse 8nvestigation and find out how the relatives who stayed have fared?

They never saved or came to rebuild the mother country.

The ship had spare capacity after leaving Australia and advertised in local paper for those that wanted to go to UK.....not begged by UK govt as BBC wud have you believe

There was no guaranteed jobs for them they took the chance to better their lives not this bull about rebuilding the UK.

By 1955 there was around 12,000 people from the Carribbean in the UK, the work pool was over 30 million

Unemployment in Barbados was running at around 25%

The only people invited over were a 100 or so to train as nurses and go back to start own health service.....most never went back.

The first company to give guarnteed job if they came over was London transport, again late 50s.

They never rebuilt the UK, saved the NHS or any other left wing bull the BBC spout.
