    Carlos will be lucky!

Reports that Corberan has urged the club to get any transfer deals done early so that he has time to integrate them into the squad and work with them before the new season starts. Might make perfect sense but he'll be lucky! 😂

Never really happened before so don’t hold out much hope, we are at the bottom of the pecking order

Makes sense but as you say most unlikely if previous seasons are anything to go by.

Is Carlos going to choose who he wants in or is the club going to get players in (if they do get any players in) that he, Carlos, will have to work with?

Let’s hope he does have a say.

There are, apparently, 8 academy players whose contracts are up for review. Whilst we obviously need to save as much money as we can I think we need to be a bit careful here as we may well see a few of our academy players making first team appearances next season. Like many of us, I can't see too many players coming in and have little faith that if we do, we will have discovered any hidden gems amongst them. (That said, John Swift has been bigging up BTA's pre-season performance/attitude so far. Really like Asante but just hope he can drastically improve his goal scoring rate!)

Nobody will come in unless they cost pennies! More will go out though!

Wouldn’t blame Carlos if he tells Lai’s new puppet to shove his job!

Mid table this season at best

Our signings will be loans, good loans come at the end of the window once managers have sorted their playing squads, nothing to see here till then.

That's the way it is with us and lots of other teams. Gives you little chance to have the squad ready though for the new season.

The whole system is a farce aimed at making agents rich and good content for media for the Premier League.

ALL transfers should be done before the season kicks off………end of!

January transfer window should be scrapped.

Teams should be forced to lay their hand down pre season and then if they get injuries or loss of form that’s what the squad and the under 21 and youth side is for, it gives kids more of a chance.

Each team should be given a salary cap and a spending cap as well.

Even if you can’t stand the NFL their system is far fairer, richer teams cannot spend more.

The way they do things means that you can be the whipping boys one season and two or three years later you can be the best team.

Their system relies more on good selection of draft choices on youngsters and very astute acquisitions of players transferring teams, you cannot buy success.

Can’t argue that, I’m still waiting for the football regulator, tumbleweeds in that area at the moment!
