    X marks the spot

Does anyone on here use Twitter and what are its good/bad points? I use Facebook and WhatsApp and have never really felt I needed anything else.

Started looking at ****ter last year and it's good for following folk you're interested in e.g. Julia Davis who covers and translates Russian State media which is always amusing. Some nice bits of video etc.
    Never actually post anything myself.

Anyhoo ****ter is changing it's name to "X" (Elon must have been up all night thinking that up) and a "Tweet" will be called a "Xeet".

    Xeet stage left?

That's really not much ,but here in Israel.

The crazy ,lazy, religious: Proposes Basic Law to equate Torah (Bible ) studies with IDF service, to study the Bible instead of doing National service. Life is amazing!

UTJ proposes Basic Law to equate Torah studies with IDF service
The first clause of the bill, called Basic Law: Torah Study, says, "Torah study is a supreme value in the heritage of the Jewish people."

The ultra-Orthodox United Torah Judaism Party (UTJ) proposed on Tuesday a Basic Law aimed at anchoring in law the exemption from IDF military service for students in religious academies (yeshivot).

United Torah Judaism (Yahadut HaTorah – UTJ) is a coalition of two Haredi parties, Agudat Israel and Degel HaTorah,

The second clause says, "The State of Israel as a Jewish state views the encouragement of Torah study and Torah students with utmost important, and regarding their rights and duties, those who dedicate themselves to studying Torah for an extended period should be viewed as having served a significant service to the State of Israel and the Jewish people."

Waving a copied sheet from the Torah won't be much use to an Israeli who is being threatened by a weaponed up guy from Hamas though Balan.

Could chuck the whole book at him maybe BT. The big confrontation at the moment however seems to be the Israeli executive on the offensive against the Supreme Court.

I've never really seen the point of it Sir Outwood, Facebook, Google and YouTube along with a myriad of Apps help me navigate contemporary living fairly well. Musk bought himself one heck of an expensive pup when he acquired Twitter.
