Prediction League 2023-24 - Manchester United

The new season is upon us. And while there seems to be tension between the manager and the front office, the players seem to be positive. With the FFP issues, the most important goal this season is just staying up. Should have more money to spend next season. Secondary goal should be to score more. Wolves have not eclipsed 40 league goals since the 2019-20 season, and only scored 31 last year. Another performance like that and I doubt we are in the Prem next season.

Tough match to open the season, away to United. But hopefully we see a bright performance.

    Reminder of the rules:
Each participant will select the final result of the game, with the score line. They will also select a Wolves goal scorer (if you think Wolves will be shutout, you can’t pick a goal scorer).
1 point will be awarded for correct goal scorer
1 point will be awarded for correct result (W, D or L)
3 points will be awarded for correct result and score line

If you miss a week, not a big deal. No punishment.

Starting XI: Sa; Semedo, Kilman (c), Dawson, Ait Nouri; Gomes, Lemina, Nunes; Sarabia, Cunha, Neto

Subs: Bentley; Doherty, Toti, Bueno; Hodge, B Traore; Hwang, Kalajdzic, Silva

Only surprise for me is RAN ahead of Doherty. I think everybody else you’d say are our best XI at the moment

Good first 10 minutes from Wolves. The more aggressive of the two teams. But United are inviting us up and hoping to counter. But Wolves have been tracking back well. Kilman a bit nervy to start.

20 minutes in and about the same. Rashford with the only shot on goal so far, but Sa made a good save from no man’s land.

Wolves are playing hard. Cunha tracking back, Neto all over the field, Lemina stout as always, Gomes playing well too. Semedo making Garnacho look like a ****ager
