Head to head, we arguably have no bigger bogey team than MK Dons.
There's three clubs we have a worse PPG ratio against, but we haven't played any of those sides more than 6 times. MKD we've met 16 times in the league and we have a 0.38 PPG record. Away it's 0.13, won 0 drawn 1 lost 7 with 2.63 average goals against, absolutely appalling.

Plenty will say past meetings count for nothing but such stats reflect general trends, trajectories, expectations, intensity of rivalries or complacency and above all - sizes and relative success of the clubs involved. I'd say this would be the toughest looking fixture we've faced in over 4 years.

Factoring in all that's current to the present season, we might just escape with a draw.

I was going to go with 3-3 but the heat (31c predicted for MK) will likely put a cap on any excess fizz spraying out all over the place.

I must have been to a fair few of those and I genuinely can't ever remember watching us play them.

The only one I remember was the away game in the relegation season when we were winning and on top until the ref unfairly sent someone off. We went on to lose, and the rest is history.

Edit: Jamie Turley, that was the player.

I remember that one Slack. Jamie Turley got sent off, they scored the ensuing penalty and then the sending off was quashed a couple of days later. Unfortunatly that didn't help Notts one bit.

P.S. Turley was a free agent at Notts but opted to go to Orient rather than re-sign for us in January. Good choice for him because they got promoted and down we went...

It was a ridiculous decision by the ref and completely changed the game.

God, that season was a nightmare.
