John Nelms should be telling us what his Plan B is if Dark Blue Property Holdings Limited owners of the new stadium development at the Camperdown Leisure Park do not receive planning permission for their Stadium and Mixed Use development.
It is likely that the owners of Dundee Crematorium and hotel chains such as Premier Inns will object to parts of this development.
Premier Inns own two hotels at Gourdie Croft and in the Camperdown Leisure Park do not want to lose business to a new hotel in this new development.
The owners of Dundee Crematorium will likely object because they will lose a lot business if a new crematorium opens in Dundee.
People need to remember that it is it not just a football stadium which the Dark Blue Property Holdings Limited Directors want to build on this site.

Providing it is in an usable condition and passes all the safety tests.
You need to remember that the lease Dundee Football Club Limited had with Sandeman Properties Limited for the Dens Park Stadium was that in addition to paying an escalating annual rent Dundee Football Club Limited were also responsible for the cost of all repairs and improvements in Dens Park.
The lease ended and with it the current conditions of the lease when Dens Park DBPH Limited acquired Sandeman Properties Limited.
Whether the owners of Dens Park DBPH Limited will impose the same terms of the lease is another question.
In my opinion these are the sort of questions Dee4life and the DSA should be asking on behalf of their members.
