[QUOTE=Bombers right foot;40369759]Two of my favourite players in Gareth Mc Cauley and Kevin Phillips, both gave us brilliant service, wish we’d been able to sign them years earlier[/QUOTE Imagine signing Jonnie Giles 5 year earlier , what a player and manager ( Ally Robertson like me puts him way above Big Ron)
Ricky Lambert. We definitely signed him too late. And I think it's fair to suggest we never really saw the best of Andy Gray, Tony Morley, Andy Townsend or Mike Phelan either.
Shaun Cunnington when you come to think about it too. And that's before we get near the slow turning no pace Diago Lugano who turned slower than the Belgrano by the time we got him.
Geoff Hurst. Way, way too late.
Good post Bomber.
Albeit a short stay…Johnny Evans impressed.
Joleon Lescott!?
Ray Crayford England centre forward from wolves ex Ipswich, past his prime .

I was going to start my list with Ray Crawford 14 games 6 goals
I'll give you Gerry Armstrong 8 games 1 goal. Nice guy. He was a coach at my local FA met him a few times.
John Hartson 21 games 5 goals. I recall 2 of his matches. In 2007 we lost 3-1 at Southend and it ranks with me as one of the very worst performances I've ever seen of an Albion side and Hartson barely moved. I actually don't think he could very much perhaps understandably giving what we know now. On the plus side he scored the last goal in the Albion w0lve3 in 06/07 which sticks out for me as one of my very favourite BCD demolitions of which there were many. And that was just in that season.
