Too true CT, a few years ago I worked on revamping Smithfield meat market all the lads from Rotherham & Sheffield,we had a few southern electricians helping out. The forecast was for snow nothing major but with in 30mins they packed up & buggered off.

Once lived in Maidstone and just a threat of a bit of frost used to close the nearby Bluebell Hill part of the M2 motorway

Up to 48" of snow forecast here this weekend for the mountain passes, thankfully none down around sea level where we live. I admire the big rig drivers who in appalling conditions have the job of chaining up their rigs, maneuvering them up and over the 'tops' and then having to pull over again to take the chains off.
