    Outgoings/loans

Fred has returned to Luton. Both clubs agreed to this.

On his day, a very good player, lately before his 'injury'? Didn't seemed bothered. Ah well, he ain't played for a few weeks so is he really a loss? If his heart wasn't really in it at the end and we need fighters in our team, then send him back.

Have to look elsewhere now. Wonder what wage he was on or rather, what we were contributing to his wage?

Anyone heard of anyone else going out on loan or, is it all hands to the pumps now?

Well done Leam, you seem to have sussed another non trier.

So we have lost two players and gained one, not good really we need fit bodies and yes if it is LR clearing out that is fine, but I suspect he is very concerned about the squad size and fitness levels.

DM, don't worry, Leam will have his targets, last thing he's going to do is reduce the club further without bringing others in.

I think bringing players in will be harder than you think, bottom of the league, small squad and tight budget. Don't forget we also have that bloke Douglas doing contracts, the Boycie of professional football. I think it will only be sticking plaster in january and a complete rebuild in the summer, so much crap in the squad. Credit to MT though for bringing in Christ and Nombe, I think they look the business and in a well run L1 team will shine.

Unfortunately we are a very very unfashionable club so Attracting players to Rotherham must be especially difficult even if we’re in a decent league position and offering competitive money.
A few of our ex Managers have said players just won’t come and play for Rufc. I’m sure quite a lot of the 30 or so MT tried to attract were never going to join us regardless of the salary.
I’m sure the historic social problems hasn’t helped either

I think it is hard to recruit but not sure historic social problems are a factor for footballers who generally aren't the highest on the intellectual scale, also are rotherhams social issues any worse than other northern towns? I think it is money and not wanting to be on a losing team, people on here criticise Evans for all the players he brought in and now we say nobody will come, we can't have it both ways. Money and league position are the two biggest factors. I also don't think the modern footballer has as much fight in them as in previous generations, they have been spolit in those academies and want an easy life.

Just been thinking on......Ferguson is nearing getting back to fitness. Loan him out so he can seek a new contract elsewhere for next season.

While Leam is at it shifting deadwood, he needs to be sending Appiah back to Almeria if he can. Hasn't done anything remotely good for us since arriving.Thing is they might so no.....

Appiah renting a top class apartment in a new build, from Billy Sharp in Sheffield, a friend of ours owns a apartment
    in the same block.
Been told Billy sharp owns 2 apartments, so using his money wisely.

    Not necessarily ELK.
Some new build apartments are overpriced and although rental income may appear to be ok (so long as it’s paid!!) there’s probably not a lot of long term potential for that type of investment.
I prefer to buy older (well built) stock to “ do up” and rent or sell - not for everyone - can be risky if you don’t know what to look for.
That’s from someone who’s “day job” is building new build apartments & student flats!!

Fred was injured so he probably would not have been available Saturday and probably other games too so I suppose we’re not weaker in the short term
As others have said it depends on whether anyone else arrives

I’m surprised Luton have agreed to take an injured player back early. Perhaps there was some kind of financial settlement
