    Birmingham Council.

    In the financial sh it.

    Apparently…….£80m wasted on a useless I.T. System.

It’s always the public that have to pay for the lack of good judgement and basic common sense and financial nous.

A 21% rise in Council Tax over 2024 and 2025 for residents.

Deborah Cadman, the chief executive of Birmingham City Council, earns a salary of almost £250,000 a year, compared to Rishi Sunak's £167,391 salary, she must be worth every penny

    That’s a disgrace!

These leaders should be paid no more than £50k with the rest of their package reliant on performance and the end of year books.

Absolutely ridiculous that a council leader is paid more than the Prime Minister, it’s no wonder that we have such a dearth of quality politicians, anyone with real talent can make far more money than being in the government.

Correct. MPs should be paid more, to attract the smarter and more talented people.

We really have some dregs in the commons at the moment.

There's a surprising amount of good and decent people who work for Birmingham City Council.

Unfortunately they appear to be employed by a cunch of utter bucking funts incapable of coherent thought and strategic planning.

The left hand not knowing what the right hand's doing springs to mind, as w@nchors go the tossers clearly aren't ambidextrous.

I don’t live in Birmingham but why the hell should residents pay for the council failures. How can nurses with pathetic pay increases cough up more than 5%? Maybe the answer is to hugely increase council tax for the larger properties as it won’t hurt these folk so much! Perhaps the government can subsidise the short fall as they seem to love throwing money at illegals arriving in record numbers. I wonder what they contribute after docking?

Totally agree with you about the dregs! Most politicians don’t crave the money but the power - look no further than Blair, Cameron, Boris and Sunak. They don’t need a penny more but it’s power! Then there’s MP’s who come into it to change the way we live and western values.

No time for any of them. Even look at the USA you have a leader who is a walking corpse and one who craves power and corruption! Pity politicians, judges can’t retire gracefully and let fresh younger minds have a breakthrough who are more in touch.
