Too many favorites making the club look ridiculous

Manager appointment is a complete joke. Favorites are made as a result of where the money is staked. The staked money is generated out of what people know or think they know as a result of rumors or whispers coming from the club. So why is it we have had numerous favorites to get the job and others who become short priced potentials that come from nowhere. The club are acting ridiculously and indicating they do not know what they are doing. Where the rumors or whispers are coming from need to be stopped. Clearly there is a mole in the club. Just get the job done.

Positive Pete is that your way of being positive. You are disrespectful of other peoples opinions and mine is as good as yours. So put that in your pistol and smoke your gun. If you would not say it to someone’s face then keep your mouth shut

Ok Ballcock but favorites are determined by wagers and nothing else and ask yourself where that believe comes from - from those who think they know and those have been tipped off. The tips coming from where??? Ever thought it might be insider information.

I doubt very much any of it is coming from the club Lancy, the bookies are just trying to skim a bit of money off mug punters who know no better. They will will keep an eye on social media and what journos are saying, they're just feeding off rumours and speculation, often they'll shorten someone up just to balance their books or to entice some more mug money for a new name. When they do know who's getting the job, they'll shorten them up so much they're unbackable or they'll stop taking bets altogether, but in the meantime it's as Mr Shakespeare said, "it is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing."

Sinkov would you put lots of money on applicant with no view of who you might think will get the job unless you have been given the nod.

There's no way anyone will get a lot of money on a next manager market, the bookies are very wary of them, if they think someone is 'in the know' and wants a decent bet on, they'll just knock it back, they just want mug money. I would imagine manager's agents might tip the bookies off that their man is in for a certain job, even if he isn't, the bookies will shorten the price up and it does a manager no harm to be in the papers as favourite for a job. But from the club I doubt there'll be anything leaked out to the bookies.

I'm not trying to be a smart arse Lancy, I do know what I'm talking about, before I joined the Fire Service I was a Betting Shop manager.
