Does anyone still have meat and two vegfor Sunday dinner at home? I know someone who regularly visits an Indian restaurant for a curry on a Sunday afternoon. In fact does anyone still sit at a table at home or is the plate on ya lap?

Yes, always have a traditional roast for Sunday lunch. By the way Dave, I think that you had a couple of pints of bitter and not butter!!
Thankfully we’ve completely come away from the traditional Sunday dinner.
The older I got the less I enjoyed it.
I think that these days, with so much more cooking space and ways of cooking it’s just easier to cook varied meals in the same timeframe. In past times ******** were more limited in regards to space and the amount of cooking rings and ways of cooking.
Most Sundays my missus does grilled salmon or lemon sole for dinner for her and my mum and I have whatever I fancy.
Even Xmas dinner has become a ball ache, by the time everything has been laid out to serve it’s past its best by the time the last person sits down to eat.
I’m looking forward to the day when we don’t have to do Xmas traditionally.
Just like every other day for us, we fit in meals whenever and however. Seldom eat out (once every 10 years) because its too expensive and my missus can cook better than any of them. Mostly at the table, just depends.
We have one every Sunday. Bung a chicken or joint in the slow cooker with some seasoning just after mid day and leave it on low.
Do whatever we're doing on the afternoon, pop the veg' and gravy on when we get back and sling the Yorkshire puds in the oven just before serving.
Straight forward, hassle free and lush of an evening with a nice bottle of wine to wash it down. Perfick 😎.
