Is donating his MP salary to local charities in Great Yarmouth the town he represents.

Refreshing to hear and always said people with little are far more generous than those with plenty. Ask any tradesman! Ask any charity shops/leaders and they say the same.

Sunak has now his PM salary of about 160K a year for life and the family are rich beyond belief. We he donate it? Will he hell? Same with Boris who is trying to make millions with his memoirs.

    Greed!!!

Exactly! I didn’t vote full stop but understand why they had more votes than Lib Dem’s. There’s been more racist snd nastiness in the Labour Party with their disgusting anti Jewish slurs but hey that’s different!

People are entitled to vote for who they want including half of France for Le Pen. That’s life.

It’s a lovely gesture and good of him if he can afford it.

I remember back in the 80’s I think it was, there was an MP in Coventry from memory called Dave Nellist who was very Left Wing and he refused to take or keep anything above the average U.K. wage.

No doubt certain press will label this MP’s actions as a “stunt” and deride it.

I actually think that if a party had this as a general theme it would certainly make voters have a real level of respect for them.

Even the actual party machine that runs the show should look to do this with a % of the funds it attracts in.

    Well done this MP anyway.
