Positive or negative about the future?

How’s everyone feeling now that the new government is in place.

Honeymoon period of course but I’m actually feeling quite positive.

Although I’m more of a centre right person I must admit I was sick to death of the ship of fools in ministerial positions.

We’ve really gone nowhere in the past 14 years, if we have gone anywhere it’s backwards.

Labour are doing their best to hit the ground running in so many areas, obviously some ideals will come unstuck but at least we no longer have to listen to people like Rees-Mogg, Andrew Bridgen, Truss, Shapps and a whole litany of idiots.

I’m sure we’ll find a whole host of new fools in time but let’s give it a chance.

So it’s a positive for me for now.

I don’t suppose that anyone will be surprised at my view of the political situation; it’s a very big negative for me, Labour have rarely done anything in recent years and have always required a following Conservative government to sort out their mess. Ok, the Tory record isn’t great but what Labour will do fills me with despair.

So right Ketts! Blair lied about Iraq - ended free university places in England and wrecked the selective state grammar school system. All Labour!

People moan about the boats but then do nothing. I honestly don’t care now if they come in like the Armada as will never be near me!

To think some criticise Biden when our own country is a laughing stock! Retired now like you so don’t even care what they do about taxation as won’t impact on me! Kids - nah not if you’re clever!

When you reach sixty for me it’s time to enjoy life as pointless being comfortable six feet under!

Whilst I'm sure many MPs of all stripes actually want to do the best for their constituents and country, I'm not too sure about many of the recent Tory elite being "well intentioned". More like self-interested.

    Can't argue with that
