    Good - tactically inept!

Finally. Had more excitement in hearing this news than the whole tournament. Let’s hope for a top quality manager that the players will be motivated to play for.

In fairness, he has achieved more success for the national side than the majority of managers since Sir Alf. Having said this, it is the right time for him to go and his tactics during this tournament have been far too cautious and predictable. Who to take over? Good question!

I think this is spot on.

There is no standout English candidate for me, if pushed I would probably go with Howe.

Because he’s had a relatively easy path before getting knocked out by bigger teams. When we faced and beaten a top side, they were not at their best either.

Steve Bruce would have achieved the same success with those quality players and playing against dross!

It’ll be Eddie Howe I expect or maybe Graham Potter.

Not sure I’d leave Newcastle if I was Howe.

Potter is a progressive and attacking coach by nature.

The Chelsea job has kicked him in the nuts though and there might be the thought that he can’t handle top players.

I’m not sure about that, more like can’t handle a megalomaniac owner.

The Kane issue needs sorting out as a priority though, he’s no longer the player to build the side around, I’d rather we had four interchangeable parts at the top of the pitch rather than a static centre forward and three behind him.

I think Watkins is close on 29 years old, he’s not the answer and I think Toney is a bit short of being the main man up top.

Would love to have Klopp as manager but won't happen.
