    Pif

I wonder what they'll be making of this fucking shambles.

And let's not beat around the bush. Whatever happens tomorrow, that's the kindest phrase i can find to describe the last couple of months.

Our owner said his aim was for us to be number one in the world. I know PSR has fucked us over royally and i know it's a longer term target but you don't challenge the top 4 by:

    selling two promising young players
not improving the first team over two windows
spending the Summer pursuing a single player to the exclusion of any other
buying a 'keeper for £20 million who you're going to loan out
not shifting any of the dead wood/unwanted players

I'm not apportioning blame and I know there are lots of valid reasons for the above happening but I do wonder what our owners are making of all of this. They sign the cheques but they've employed people to run the club and, as it stands, the transfer window has been a failure, relatively speaking, and that's on the folk managing the club. I suspect PIF aren't impressed.

Sorry if this is a negative post but we're all trying to make sense of what's happening.

Believe me if Howe has made it clear that he won't accept any other defender than Guehi, sheikh Yasir will fire him in a heart beat.

If we finish outside the top 5 this season Eddie is gone regardless.

    It's not negative it's reality.

The whole situation around Fraser et al is complete incompetence.
Miggy still on the books and no upgrade at Right wing, with no targets even in negotiation is unfathomable.
The GK department makes no sense.
Ashworth's departure and his shady dealings was a major embarrassment.

The C-Suite have 24 hrs to get their act together or there is going to be a lot of unrest on the terraces on Sunday afternoon.

No more pints and songs for Eales. He'll get to see how Penfold and C-Ashley were treated if he's not careful.

I think PIF will be looking at the ‘big picture’ and have a slightly longer term view than the average football fan (!).
Their emphasis just now will be financial and I think they’ll be delighted that their £300 million investment is now worth an estimated £1 billion.
There’s just been a Boardroom shuffle and they’re obliged to give the new people a fair crack of the whip before forming opinions.

….…then there’s the glass half full view!!!

Why is the Fraser situation incompetence? There is a contract between him and the club and so the club’s hands are tied. The issue is that Fraser is putting money before playing (which indicates the root of all the problems with him).

I've been saying this all along.. I was laughed at earlier in the window..

However.... I don't think the owners envisioned the PSR changes that eere categorically to stop us.. these changes happened to limit us..

If PSR doesn't change I can see the Saudis selling up and buying elsewhere..

Again.. I'll be laughed at for that comment but we aren't exactly a financial hotbed up in the north east

We watch and wait, but I agree they won’t be impressed, but who do they blame! Eales, Mitchell, Eddie, by the way I’m not convinced about Eales, just something, singing on the stage ffs

Said it elsewhere, but in summary…

This transfer window has been f**king embarrassing… chasing a defender for weeks that would not have been rated over 40m at the end of last season?

Football to date has been shocking… o think we all got used to the excuse of injuries… but this is like the Bournemouth/Brighton/Forest performances all over again at the start of the season and tiredness and massive gaps down to injury is not an excuse.

On the flip side… all this finance, 3 year cycle…this is when we are hamstring the most ever going forward… this is when we started spending with Ashley level commercials…. It’s got better since then, massively so… and I think we’ll see more spending power going forward.

For me… tell Palace to get f**ked, go out and bring in a RW and then see how much Guehi is going for in Jan or next summer… or go for another CB altogether.

    Can’t argue with that.
