And didn’t we have quite a few home turfs before the Shrine!? Some 5 or so from 1878-1900? And, then from 1900 the one.

    Replying to Thomas

1 Coopers Hill which was in Beeches Road 1878-1879 now covered by present day St Phillips Church

2 Dartmouth Park near to the main gates in Beeches Road 1880-1881 The Expressway now cuts through the old pitch-

3 Bunns Field 1881-1882 Alfred Street was later built on it and now thats covered over by Tesco in the New Square Shopping Centre -

4 The Four Acres just up the road from Bunns Field 1882-1885 now the pitch is sort of still there in Park Crescent its now a grassy road island in the middle of a Housing estate just off Seager Street -

5 Stoney Lane 1885-1900 the ground laid derelict for over 80 years before a housing estate was built on it and the area is now called Albion Fields just off Stoney Lane The stand used at Stoney Lane was transported to the Hawthorns in 1900 but I think it got burnt down in 1913 -

6 The Hawthorns 1900- situated thousands of miles from the main town of West Bromwich

Also, what about the old Spring Rd training ground Phil?

Am I right in thinking there’s still the old lights up there from when we last used it in the 70’s or 80’s?
