Massive off day from everyone today. Can't rank anyone above a 6.

Bass 5 - Distribution was poor and should've done with better with their goal, didn't even attempt to go for the ball as their player rounded him with ease.

Macari 5 - Poor as well, looked shaky whenever put under pressure.

    Platt 6 - Did okay.

Bedeau 5.5 - See Platt. Marked down for another miss at the end.

Tsaroulla 4 - Missed two huge chances.

Jones 6 - Wasn't his usual self, certainly wasn't through a lack of effort but, as with everyone, wasn't on it today. Hope he isn't seriously injured.

Palmer 5 - Looked a shadow of the player he was before his injury. Looked slow, ponderous, and rarely got stuck in.

Abbott 4.5 - Looked like a 19 year old youth player today. Got stuck in early and was booked and then was totally anonymous after that, other than missing another massive chance.

Crowley 5 - Got on the ball a lot but was very ineffective with it, especially from set pieces.

Grant 3 - Woeful. Completely anonymous going forward and so weak and lacklustre defensively. God knows how he's still in the starting 11.

McGoldrick 5 - Needs to remember that he's own lone striker and stop dropping into midfield when we're attacking. So many times the ball went into the box and he was nowhere near it. And when he was we missed yet another chance.

Austin - 5 Did nothing other than give the ball away when he came on. Still think he'd offer a hell of a lot more than Grant.

Gordon 5 - Got into good positions but his final ball was usually poor.

Brown 5 - Gave the ball away a lot.

    Cundy N/A

Really poor and disappointing day today. For once I thought we'd turned a corner with our early season form but yet again notts let everyone down again with our worst performance thus far.

Interestingly, Palmer only a 5! - he only played a few matches last season so we don't really know yet if he is just a very good NL player and not really up to the standard of L2!

I would probably give an extra point to one or two of them but as is often the case, we come against decent opposition who defended strongly and we can't open them up and bottle it. It is these games that cost us last year. We certainly were not helped by officials.

agree I think the points reflect a level of understandable disappointment. Gillingham did well to contain us in the final third, were stronger than us in the middle of the park, and their goal was high quality.

Not sure that we bottle it. We do seem to run out of ideas a bit. I thought Gordon looked lively down the left.

Bass 5.. not much to do but should of came out quicker for their cleary offside goal
Macari.5.5.. offered very little going forward, defended when needed
Platt.. 6.. only player that can actually win a header at the back, nothing spectacular but steady
Bedeau..5.. defended ok, joined up in attack at times but his miss was simply terrible, half the goal to aim at
Tsaroulla. 3.. where do I start, his first miss was bad but the second was just shocking... offered nothing apart from that and glad to see him hooked
Jones..5.5.. bad day for Jody, some terrible crosses but they doubled up on him all the time and kicked lumps out of him, looks to be badly injured 😢
Palmer..6.. thought he did ok, I noticed first half that every time he went to release the ball one of their players hit him a dig in the back, remember it happening on 3 different occasions... tired as the game went on which is to be expected
Abbott.. 5.. Got on the ball and tried his best, dreadful miss looks like it shot his confidence for the remainder of the game
Crowley..5.. Not the Crowley we know and love, still tried some killer passes, very little worked for him today
Grant.. 4.. Pretty anonymous for the most part, one or 2 decent snappy passes but the game completely passed him by
Ditzy.. 4.5.. bad bad day for Ditzy, first touch was so bad, won nothing in the air, very limited chances to score
    Subs
Austin.. 5.5.. Scored a perfectly good goal which of course was disallowed, buzzed around and generally did well
Brown.. 4.. did relatively nothing apart from being taken down for a blatant pen
Gordon.. 4.. Only thing I remember about his appearance was his naff hair cut
Cundy.. 5.. Did more in 5 minutes than most of them did in 90

Officials.. 0... about as bad a bunch of criminals as have ever shown up down the lane...yes we lost the game because of terrible finishing but they were the most clueless bunch I can remember for many a day

Hmm except last year we'd have shipped more goals. At least we didn't have a defensive collapse.

16 games is hardly a few. And in those he was very good. Far too early to write him off after a very long injury absence.

Strongly disagree. In what sense did we bottle it today?
We created enough chances to win 2 games of football, we just didn’t take them.
And let’s not even start on the officials!

We missed absolute sitters and didn't do anywhere near enough in the 2nd half to put them under enough pressure.
