    The Matchthread

    Hi all
After a long time of running the matchthread I have decided to take a back seat and let someone else have a go.

It has been a great honour running it over the years from back from the time when listening to a linked radio service provided by Bigrich. To posters at the match posting events that were happening live in the game to now. Now is a completely different situation because we can all watch the game one way or another but the Matchthread still goes on with many people joining it, discussing goals, fouls, the referee and everything else.
Over the years we had first and second half threads because of the amount of posters participating. It has also introduced us to some great characters posting from bizare locations. Like a kitchen Chef in the Lake District who would log in during his fag break. From down under and the people that stayed awake to log in, From The USA including sota, CTmilller (yes that's 3 l's) along with others over the pond and not forgetting 'HAVE WE SCORED YET' Clar. The list of people goes on, from Scandanivia, France, Spain, Thialand and anywhere a Miller lived or was on holiday.

So, as from tomorrow the Matchthread will be run by Heliosphan. He has kindly volunteered to take my place and give it a new, fresh start. I really hope that you will support, respect and help him as you have me over the years and Red Duke before me.

I wish you all the best Heliosphan!!!

First and foremost, thank you for all your effort and contributions over the years attracting many Millers fans worldwide to join in the matchthread 👏

Heliospan has stepped forward to offer his services in ‘picking up the baton’ to continue what is a good communication thread on all things Millers and good luck to him running it. 👍

Let me add my thanks, Frog, for the great service you’ve provided all these years, For me, your opening rallying call before each match has been a big part of following Millers games for so many years now. When you’re so far away it’s especially welcoming to have a place to metaphorically stand before the match starts and a person to talk to - and you’ve provided that for so many seasons.

I’ll say it for the final time ‘Morning Frog’n’all!!’

Heliospan, thank you for taking up the role and for keeping this institution alive. Good man!

Thanks my parents will be very proud when I tell them 🤣

You'll probably find the thread appears first thing in the morning on match days or occasionally on the evening before the game. It's nice to get some early views on forthcoming games, so watch this space.

    And thanks again!

You realise that by taking on this job you're also responsible for the quality of Rotherham's performances! Good luck with both tasks!!
