    Wimbledon Home

Whilst one game won’t define a season, this one feels more like it than any thus far.

Wimbledon could be 4 points clear at the top by winning their games in hand. So should not be underestimated, and our record against them is abysmal.

A defeat will feel like a prelude to what many folk on here see as our true position - mid table. And continue the view that Maynard is the love child of Curle and Buzby.

A win will justify our position. And given the dire state of our injuries would be fantastic.

A draw will kick the definition further down the road on midtable and auto predictions, but would be a very decent point for a playoff chaser.

    Biggest game so far?

The interesting thing is that Wimbledon have played 4 away games. One win,one draw and 2 defeats. They have scored one goal and conceded 3.We know what sort of a game it will be based on those stats. It is ***** that we keep a clean sheet .

Bradford are the only current top ten side they have played this season, though they did get a 0-0 there.
14th in the away table last season.

So maybe a more winnable fixture than many people may assume, ignoring the ridiculously awful head to head record which includes them doing the double against us last season. They are not a big club though, it's a freak H2H sequence that has to come to an end eventually.

Wow I hadn’t realised they’d had an even easier start than us.

At least we’ve played 3 (albeit only taken 3 points!)

I think if we lose three home games in a row to promotion rivals, it shows that we aren't quite ready to compete at the very top of the division. So yeah, it's a big game. We're still at that stage of the season where a single result can be the difference to feeling like we're finishing top 3 or achieving bugger all. The Maynard Out brigade are waiting eagerly as always.

Not so much a Maynard out Brigade as an evil under belly of negativity that has always been in some Notts fans. If he wasn't here they would find another target.

One Stuart Maynard, there's only one Stuart Maynard!

True, but it's particularly strong in relation to Maynard. I suspect he'll always be a couple of defeats away from people calling for his head, regardless of where we are in the table. Some people will trot out the usual "BT engineer" jibes as always.

I don't think anyone is waiting to shout about who was right or wrong but to lose 3 home league games on the bounce (if we were to lose) would not be a great look. Crowds will start to drop and that right there will be the trigger for Maynard to either buck his ideas up or to find a new home

I'd imagine Maynard is miles away from getting sacked as we currently stand. We're third in the league. Yes, we lost twice at home, but those were both tight games that could have gone either way. No way the bros would rock the boat at this stage. If we're outside the playoffs come the new year, then yes, maybe.
