    Team for Arsenal

    After today’s performances:

    Big Joe. Isak. Gordon

    Bruno. Sandro. Longstaff

    Hall. Burn. Schar. Krafth

    Purp.

    Aye that's a good shout.

Willock and Big Joe linked up really well in the cup. So that's a sub that could work really well to change things and it would be mint for Willock to get the winner against his old team! Poetic

Just watched the game and I’ll stick with the above. Really liked big Joe forward - he’s a real handful and provides a different dimension. It’d be class if he could play forward right (have we ever played him there?)
Krafth’s turning into a bit of a gem in our squad. He did a solid job playing at cb last season and when Schar was out and put in a good performance yesterday. I think he deserves a start at RB at least till Trips is fit.

Id stick with Kelly rather then bring Burn back in.

    Same if I'm honest.

Agree with the players, but I would consider a 4-4-2… dropping big Joe back onto the left of midfield and with Gordon floating around Isak.

Though given they the team have trained as a 4-3-3 for so long I’d expect this will be it… just remember our midfield being bossed by Arsenal in the last game, so having a bit extra protection for the back 4… especially down the left with Saka going down the right.

Just been watching the Chelsea game rerun, Krafth was outstanding, the interception and pass for Osula shot, which hit the post, was top drawer, love him, never let us down mister dependable.

I know we might need him for his height but I'd be tempted to keep Kelly in there as I think he's a bit quicker and more mobile than Dan Burn and, up top, Arsenal are a very quick, mobile team.

On reflection, and this is based on TT’s comment about 4-2-3-1 in a different post, I think I’d like to see

    Isak
    Willock - Bruno - Gordon
    Big Joe - Tonali
Hall - Burn or Kelly - Schar - Krafth or Tino
    Pope

Thought Gordon played well out on the right

Love the link up between Big and Little Joe

Think Burn/Kelly is the biggest question as they both have pro’s and con’s against a team like Arsenal… but would go for Burn first… without Odergaard linking up midfield and attack I think the biggest danger will be set pieces

Can see a genuine need for Longstaff to come on at some point in second half for one of big Joe or Tonali, depending who tires first.

Willock will also likely tire, so few games, so bringing Barnes on (likely 62’nd minute ;-) and bring Longstaff on at the same time probably.

Be good to see Osula come on with some time to play out, he’s got the build to bully their defence when they are a bit tired and with Willock/Barnes and Gordon goi g down the channels and hopefully cutting the ball back in, a more central figure might work better for us later in the game.
