    Darnell Furlong

Will miss the Sunderland game due todays booking

Certainly miss his defending, but it will give him time to work on his passing, preferably to a blue and white striped shirt

There was reference on local radio, pre match, that he could well be “targeted” given his current yellow card count!!
His foul was the other side of the pitch to where we sit, so unable to comment. But it looked like some petulance with their player immediately going to ground ! Anyone close enough to see what actually happened ?

Saw it on tv, harsh booking, especially as the ref had failed to book a Norwich player for a worse foul. Poor ref, again, today.

Indeed Ketts buddy. There was a nasty tackle, very early in the game, by their big CB (No4) which deserved a card.

Duffy is a strong and experienced defender but certainly listening to the Albion commentary, AJ was very clear that that early tackle of his should have been a yellow and that for the ref to then later give Darnell one for similar showed a total lack of consistency.

As for options on Tuesday, I suspect Frabotta may slot into right back. Our current back four line up haven't been bad and Styles has continued to impress on the left so don't see much point in moving them about. It is not just Furlong's defensive duties we will miss as he also creates so much going forward. He may not be able to replicate that but Frabotta has the experience- just time for him to step up and prove his worth after some earlier, rather underwhelming, showings.

As for Sunderland, I would have previously said that we wouldn't expect to get much out of the game but -as Boingy pointed out-they too have dropped off a bit with 4 draws in their last four games. I'm expecting a tough match but who knows?
