    More time ?

In the YT interview SE talks about having more time, he says PW was given it, but that isn't exactly true as PW was rumoured to be replaced after the Blackpool game (8th dec) if things hadn't improved, we won and the rest is history. He also talks about the fact that he hasn't been himself, yet again referring to the last two years (that is getting very thin Steve, stop it). Now reading between the lines I think that TS has been clear on how long Evans has to improve the current awful situation, hence why his interview is almost pleading to be given more time, playing the victim.

So how long would you give him if you were TS, before you said enough is enough?

For me, we have to see improvement starting tonight and significant improvement in performances and results before Boxing day, we cannot go into a transfer window with a lame duck manager who is on borrowed time. The board should assume the worst and have someone ready to step in, have the recruitment team with deals ready to go. However, we should all hope that things improve and Evans does what he said he would, after all we are only judging him against his pre-season statements.

    Green. The saviour.

(I'm being ironic BTW - but he's the only one we've had missing constantly, and the management made the choice to leave his name as one of our squad, so even Green was SE's choice)

We haven't got a central midfield player good enough that's one our main weaknesses. I'd just play Tiehi there till January know your tired of me saying it & move Odoffin to centre back.

    Yeah give him more time.
Just enough time to clear his desk.
Just enough time to say Adi?s Amigo to his pal the Chairman.
Just enough time to check the train timetable to Stevenage, Gillingham or maybe Mansfield .

Bye bye, thanks for your efforts.

Doesn't it hinge all on a replacement?

For what TS wants ( with of course the caveat "we've got to give the new manager the best chance of x ) SE has to go, you would definately see an improvement in attitude, tactics if not results. Maybe TS has already wrote the season off? In which case, January may see recruitment if he goes, not if he stays.

Anyhow, back to the beginning...if they had someone lined up, he would be in now.... So this is a bit of a mute topic, because we have to be mind readers...as always, it's not what the fans want.

With gaps between games, Tony Stewart could have sacked Steve Evans, & his sidekick
    Paul Raynor.
Perhaps Tony Stewart thinking how much will it cost the club in paying up Evans &
    Raynors contract.
He could have brought Paul Hurst or Mark Robins in, on a end of season contract, that's
if either wanted the job, for a short term.
It's a big problem for Tony Stewart, he knows if he keeps Evans & Raynor in charge,
the season ticket sales will be down next season, especially if the team don't get their
    act together.
Steve Evans has brought the majority of his own players in for this season, so he can't
    blame past managers.
Championship football brought a decent end of season lump sum of money into the club,
with also decent away fan numbers coming to the NYS.
Where as not has much end of season lump sum, plus smaller away fan attendance at
the NYS, coming from league one games.

I don't think Evans will go.
I'm certain we won't go up.
    I don't think we'll go down.
    I don't think we're going anywhere.
