    Johnny Walker RIP

Passed away aged 79 with lung disease. One of the few I could still listen to on a Sunday afternoon. Bob Harris has taken his spot after he quit a few weeks ago due to the illness. Started smoking again as he knew he had only weeks left so why not.
I stopped smoking nearly 40 years ago, still get the urge now and again. Might start again if I get to 90.

Very sad news - a broadcasting legend and a Midlander as well - he went to my old school (although a few years above me).

He checked out at 79, he didn't want to be in the 80's.
