That must be what John Nelms tells him to open with. I don't believe for one minute that the guy has any freedom to ask the questions that need to be asked or to state what needs to be stated in his 'interviews'.

After saturdays debacle at Dens, i was not surprised by the score last night.
I'm glad we have Airdrie on Saturday, as we might get some confidence back before we meet Aberdeen.
i switched off last night after watching Ingram lose his marker for the third goal.
John Nelms should issuing a statement apologising to the Dundee FC supporters for the performance of the team during the past two league games which is unacceptable.
However this is unlikely as Nelms never issued an apology for the ticket shambles before the last two home games against the Dabs despite knowing about the problem last summer.
But he doesn't put the team out time after time in a formation that just doesn't seem to work does he?
I'm not going to criticize Docherty too much just yet though as I think he's been put in an impossible position by John Nelms. These tie ins with other clubs just don't seem to be benefitting us right now and maybe if Docherty had free reign to sign players without the need to keep those other clubs happy it would be different?
The tie ins with these other clubs is John Nelms' doing and that makes him culpable for tying Docherty's hands. Docherty preps the players, decides the formation and (right now) isn't getting the best out of a squad that hasn't really done too badly prior to the last two games.
We have been needing a sign a second forward since the start of this league season but no one has been signed in the January 2025 transfer window despite the club receiving ?1 million from Celtic for Luke McCowan. Meanwhile Curtis Main who is a forward was released during the January 2025 transfer window.
In my opinion it is all very well having these tie ins with these other clubs if we are getting decent players in return and not just young players who are being ‘toughened up’ playing for Dundee FC before they return to their parent club to go on to bigger and better clubs.
I certainly suspect the same regarding Nelms. He loves a 'project'. Playing so many youngsters is lunacy and I cannot believe that Docherty is responsible for this strategy. It stinks of interference. Nelms insisted on selling McCowan, knowing full well that he could not be replaced in time. We have suffered ever since, and we get young untried players instead of the experience that we are lacking in midfield.
