O/T:- Dean Windass - Dementia diagnosis

I'm not sure if this was discussed on here previously, but another sportsman diagnosed with dementia.

I liked Windass as a player. He was a nasty piece of work, but got stuff done.

Yeah, saw that. Sad to hear, honestly. You never really think about what these guys go through after retirement until stuff like this comes out. I’ve been looking into how medical cannabis for dementia is being explored here in the UK and it seems like it’s showing promise for easing symptoms like agitation and sleep issues

That's really $hitty IP (I mean his diagnosis, not the carer part). It's another one of those things, that because of advancements with medical diagnostic techniques, these illnesses are getting picked up much earlier than before.

It's the same with many cancers. I can't tell you how many of my friends are having to deal with that currently.

All the best for the future with your dad Irish. Has he got someone who can go with him to games?

Thanks Lullapie. Tis ****e. Although it's early stages. Mum finding it hard to deal with him. Yes, will get to odd games hopefully. He's goings on Easter Monday. Breast cancer is all I'm hearing over here at the minute. Relations, friends diagnosed. Maybe hearing more now due to being in that age group 50+
