Stupid in hindsight but I didn't notice many pushing for CJ's contract to be renewed prior to Parker involving him in games this season.
Pace has publicly stated our finances depend on player trading. Someone in an office deep inside Turf Moor needs to get his or her $hit together IMHO.
The Tresor fiasco is a constant reminder we are not doing our job properly.![]()
Well that's nothing New , our finances have always depended on "player trading" and likely always will.
So what should have happened regarding Tresor?
To be honest I was very happy when we signed him , sounded like he was going to be good signing , he disapointed in his few games last season but we'd already agreed an obligation to sign him otherwise I don't believe we would have.
Body language suggests he doesn't want to be here and something isn't right but I'm not going to make judgement with no facts on the situation and I don't think it's fair to point fingers.
It is a shame for us because I'm confident he could have been a massive player for us this season.
Precisely mon ami, Brighton has been proffered as an example, but they've sold several players on for serious money, we've just made bits and pieces on a few players, but overall in the four years ALK have been running it, I would imagine we're running a deficit on their player trading. In fact it now seems imperative that we get promoted and the TV money rolls in, but that's not what was meant to finance the club, it was player trading, and it isn't working.
