Had to resort to Wikipedia but I suppose I could have just read the list on here to realise, although Black Sabbath definitely don't seem to fit the mould.

I'd struggle to even name a prog rock album but I guess some of the oldies on here were into that type of stuff

Couldn't stand it. Never beat Faces for a 70's band then some of the punk new wave music.
