    Other matches

    Walsall vs Port Vale
    Bradford vs Crewe
What results are best for Notts?
Obviously draws mean only 2 points shared but I wonder if a win for Crewe might be better. Obviously Crewe would be back in the fight but it would leave Bradford very exposed and maybe a draw when we play there might be all we need.
As for the other game?? A win for either would leave the other teetering on the edge. If it came to play offs I think I would prefer Walsall. Perhaps a draw here would be best with both sides losing 2 points.

    Provided we win
Walsall vs Port Vale - Draw
Bradford vs Crewe - Crewe win
But we need to win first and let the others worry about themselves.

Despite Walsall's extraordinary winless run, they have only lost 2 of the last 11 (and they are currently the longest unbeaten away. last 6). They've got a favourable run-in after Port Vale and it's probably going to be a case of - once they finally win again, they'll go on a winning streak.

Port Vale also look likely to get enough points from their other fixtures. I'd say a Walsall win would be better for us because Vale have 2 less points, but I'd just accept whatever happens there. I think those two will go up regardless.

Bradford are the team to catch for me - plus Notts play them, so a good chance it would be in our own hands vying for 3rd spot with them.
Definitely need Bradford to lose tomorrow. Crewe aren't an issue for us unless we seriously screw up.

Maybe a chance Doncaster will slip up at Cheltenham, which we need them to do somewhere as they have the game in hand.

Wimbledon of less concern for the time being and you'd fully expect them to collect 3 pts at home to Harrogate tomorrow.

Doncaster's game in hand is not necessarily a problem to us because we still have them to play at home, which means that it remains in our own hands to finish above them.

Agreed, but regardless of our result.

A win for us tomorrow would be an immense step towards promotion....that plus games against Cheltenham and Harrogate would be 77pts to add to what we can do against Bradford, Salford & Donny.

But tomorrow is difficult. Who would take a draw now if offered? I wouldn't, because of the form we're in - it's a chance to make it 9pts in 8 days

Walsall to beat PV (we don't want PV to get points) and the same for Crewe to beat The Massive.

If we lose it won't matter what others do, let's concentrate on what we need to do

Thought PV had a tough run in, maybe I'm wrong

Donny have got 4 games in 9 days to deal with too. Hoping for:

Walsall win - to keep PV's points down and ensure their run is at an end
Crewe win - to keep Bdfd in range

all that's less important than Notts keep winning, and we still have games against Bdfd and Donny so our fate is really in our own hands (and the refs obvs), but they'll be saying the same.

Still think we've got it all on to get automatic promotion. We've thrown away too many points.
On the play offs I see the first legs are on 11th May yet Forest are at home that day so if we are meant to be at home first would we be allowed to swap the legs around.
