Where will Steve Evans pop up next?

A week has passed since his departure so I ve been wondering where he may pop up next. No need for comments like ''who cares'',''move on'',''he's in the past'' etc....it's a light hearted guessing thread!

We talked about this at half time, and frankly I can't see how he gets another job without a L2/conf chairman who is (relatively) wealthy, has little interest in his fans, is pretty out of touch with the game, and reacts well to flattery. After establishing those criteria, it became apparent that there are likely 30-40 options for him, so we could well see him in a dugout by August.

You may be right Ulley because no matter what the opinion of him he has had more or less 30 odd years in continuous employment.

Many thanks -two things I will say. Despite the rhetoric on here, SE delivered much success in his first spell. Like him or not, that’s undeniable and I wouldn’t have wanted those first 5 years at NYS to have been and different. And second, the problems at NYS are still there. Sacking SE was the right thing - clearly it hasn’t worked and the players had stopped playing for him. But those problems, remain and they haven’t been solved by installing a novice manager and an ex goalkeeper. Upstairs needs to be resolved which can only mean passing the ownership on to someone else who is motivated and more knowledgeable about football.


You might also want to look closely at some questionable commitment from the players who, you might care to remember were being paid out of mine and your pockets during their downing of tools. Oh you might well say, would you have given your commitment to SE is he treated them poorly. Well let’s remember that anyone on here would be fired if they downed tools - irrespective.

NWC, I totally agree fully with your first points. However, and I think it's something you've chosen to not accept and that is 'tools' wouldn't have been downed at all had Evans delivered himself better, respected players more, not shouted them out in the press/media blaming them solely for the loss of games, I could go on.

This was not the Steve Evans I wanted to return and deliver. Put simply, he's gotten more arrogant, ignorant and lost the class to conduct himself well in the public eye. The amount of spats he had with opposing Managers was sometimes, damn right embarrassing as a representative of our club. How many yellow cards and bans this season? Have you ever known any previous Manager of ours who has conducted himself has bad in a season? He's gone and we move on as they say.

As for 'installing a novice manager and an ex goalkeeper', it's not too bad a start is it? We will lose again and heads will drop but in Hamshaw it looks as though he firmly has all the players on his side which is a big plus, wouldn't you agree?
