Its just incredible how they think its fine to hold the game up for no reason. I would suspend both those clowns for that.

Yes, it gets some things right but, when you slow things down, you can spot any amount of things that could change the Ref's decision and make it 'technically'correct.

Refs should be allowed to make mistakes just as the players are but, at the minute, VAR is re-reffing the game.

And, aye-that's about as clear a handball as you could see-you get the impression they were hoping to find something else so they could disallow the award of the pen.

The VAR review for the first 2 non-pens took less time combined than the 3rd STONEWALL penalty.

It brings in the discussion of conspiracy when there is no continuity in the decision making process.

The 3rd was a nailed on pen, no questions asked. No one was off side. It wasn't too close, no ball to hand. Just a clear cut penalty.

'VAR is not there to re-ref the match.' So why would the on-field ref who had a clear line of sight on the offense and it was clear as the cocaine crust on David Coote beak, have to hold the game up for VAR checks?

It was clear they were trying every angle to see if they could disallow it. Then it became an exercise in time wasting. More stoppage = more additional time, later in the game the home team has the advantage and is more like to sneak a late winner statistically due to home field advantage and fatigue.

You don't have to all meet up in a darkened room with no windows to conspire to a conspiracy. It's not like some clandestine Machiavellian plot. The ref's already have their biases and they know full well at every training session and PGMOL meeting the conversation around the Premier League is always based on the underlying factor of money and what their paymasters, The Premier League (fronting for the cartel) & the Broadcasters want to see.

My point still stands. I mentioned it 2 or 3 yrs ago. PGMOL is a PLC and they can be sued. If the Prem Clubs aren't able to sue due to their Share Holder agreement when they enter the Prem, that doesn't stop fans groups taking legal action against them.

They readily admit mistakes as 'Project managers' of the Prem matches in letters too the club.

As they are a private company managing the project of the match between 2 other companies they are liable for the losses their poor decisions cause.

As fans, the away fans can sue for the cost of tickets, travel and also the intangibles, the mental anguish, anxiety, stress and all other modern limp wristed conditions society is awash with.

At some point in the future, when I do manage to get some time to myself, have got the senior management team I need in place to take over the day-to-day of the businesses, and, of course, have the £300,000+ cash liquidity to engage with a Nick DeMarco level lawyer I intend to gather every clubs Fan group and being them together in a class action law suit against the PGMOL.

The only way it could be offside is if one of our players in an offside position was impeding the GK in some way when the free kick was taken. A blind child with no replay could see that that wasnt the case.
Theres literally no excuse for the delay, unless its to desperately search for something to disallow the penalty for, as Zipster said.

It's clear that the VAR team were doing everything they could think of to find a reason NOT to give it. That's literally the only reason for them checking absolutely every single camera, every angle and every single potential infraction.

They couldn't find anything so they had to give it.

Like I said, for what reason? If it's clearly a hand ball, which it was. Then were is anything approaching a 'clear and obvious error'?

In lots of games, once they've cleared whatever the initial check was for, they'll then say that the 'attacking phase' is being checked to see if there's anything else that could be used to disallow a goal.

WHY? If it wasn't spotted initially then that's not why the VAR check was being used.

VARs lost its way. It needs to get back to CLEAR AND OBVIOUS mistake. If it takes more than 15 seconds (or 2 quick replays) to intervene then dont bother.

Some mistakes will be made (as there always have been) but less, and no obvious ones. Thatd be much better than the ridiculous situation we have now.
