Langas, Nelson and Nyambe won't be fit for the start of the new season

According to Eustace at the fans forum last night these 3 will not be fit for a while, which might explain why he is seeking cover at CB and also a RB.

What should reassure RA is that Eustace has confirmed that his transfer priorities are forwards and attacking players.

We have Fozzy and Clarke which is good. Wilson too..I like Nyambe but he's not really been available that much.

I’ve been very reassured. We have Salvesen coming back and have been realistically linked with two other powerful forwards in recent days.
Impressed by the way things are going. Seems to be plenty of joined up thought.
Agree with Sith about Nyambe. Good, strong player but that’s no use if he’s usually unavailable. One noticeable feature of the players we’re linked with is that they seem to have good availability records.

Indeed, though another mention at the fans forum was that the reasons for the run of injury are being addressed

Of the first team squad plus the young uns who have played in pre season, we have a fair few on the sidelines.

Morris, Weimann, Agyemang, Wilson, Lang?s, Salvesen, Ward, Nyambe, Nelson, Brown and Cruz Allen. That's 11 outfield players in the sick bay.

We currently have 24 named in the squad of whom only Brown doesn't count towards the max 25 man squad. That leaves room for just 2 more incoming unless we move a couple on or simply don't register them.

I'm not going to guess at incoming or outgoing but the current wriggle room of 2 players arriving is, IMO, low

Here's the page showing the current 1st team squad. 24 players. Because of his age, Brown doesn't count towards the 25 head count.

Tricky stuff. So we have two spaces and after that we have to sell, temporarily/permanently deregister or release as free agents?

With the amount of crocks we have, 25 looks a bit thin. I?d almost say deregister a keeper and make use of the emergency rule, maybe a bit unethical though

    1. Yes.

    2. Most clubs don't register the 3rd keeper and use the emergency ruling if either of the first 2 keepers gets injured. In the pre season games so far, the kids have done alright. I suspect that's down to youthful enthusiasm, the carrot of a possible leg up to the 1st team squad and, most of all, that they have played together frequently in the age groups through the years. Agbawodikeizu gets my vote ahead of the not yet signed up Roofe. It wouldn't surprise me to see some out on loan or sold or given away. Brown for one. Ward, Rooney (despite looking decent in his pre season cameos)... it will be interesting to see what JE does.
