    In the early years of the football league, 1970 onwards an ordinary gate was 3,200. Look at the above, without many away fans about 100, without that it would be 4,900 odd.

    I laugh at Uniteds monumental attempts to get people to attend,1600 more is not going to get you into the premier league, the championship, or even div 1, not for long anyway.

    Cambridge is not a football town, the vast majority of the poulation are not thinking about the next game, promotion etc.

    They are thinking about artificial intelligence, quantum mechanics, advances in medicine. Those that are interested in football go to London and see a proper game.

    Cambridge united will always be that, cheap, failures, even when they have cash, nine bob notes, board rooms from Mexico, betraying the few that care.

    Well there goes all of lower-league football. Let’s all not bother then.
