Mostly quite idiotic comments to be honest.
Amazing that when he rotates and we lose, the plonkers say its the managers fault. But how can you not rotate when there are three games in short succession?
Wallace wasnt to blame for us conceding three today was he? Dont get me wrong, hes not what he once was, but thats what Mason has got to work with.
Im not saying there isnt learning for the gaffer each game but its typical fickle Albion fans to expect a win every match with an average squad.
Hes had a decent start irrespective of todays result and fans need some perspective; he inherited a side that got pummelled nearly every game under Mowbray and couldnt win away from home if we had 12 men!
My view on this Matt was you don?t change a winning team especially prior to a two week break. Wallace should not start as clearly he?s not good enough - coming on later then fine!
Collyer was not Mason?s fault as he needed to start but disappointed. Price been crap for a while now so needs a break!
We were shocking first half and for me Mason should have made changes then. Poor when the game was lost at 3-0 our promising Bostock was not brought on until 2 mins from the end. I thought in the 2 minutes Bostock showed what a great player he will be.
Bostock is the future and Wallace is the past and will be gone in June so why not try giving Bostock more minutes over Wallace? Takes a brave decision!
Embarrassing that Wallace is still the captain when he?s on and off the pitch. My idea of a captain is a real leader - someone like Phillips who is a rock and on the pitch every game for 90 minutes.
Too early to really judge Mason but his lack of managerial big decisions is showing. He needs to be more attack minded and the set up today was not that. Look across the road to Coventry and they are scoring goals for fun! Perhaps we need to analyse why? We got away with it at Norwich but let?s face it we were poor and Millwall aren?t exactly anything special.
I don?t honestly mind losing but it?s the way we lose. The Millwall keeper didn?t have one save to make!
Even if there?s two games within a week - start your best side to dictate the game then make changes and rotate when a game is not lost.
If you dont change a winning team, that has played three times in 8 days and you get injuries, then that really is on the manager. Plus I dont think Iling Junior has been phenomenal. We would have still lost 3-0 with him in!
Youre hanging your hopes on a Bostock who you saw for 4 minutes when the game was over and everyone was knackered. Im sure even Wallace would look great in those circumstances. I think he is going to be a great player but there are levels to this game and only the manager will know if he is ready and integrate him right.
This idea that young lads are just ready to go and the answer is daft.
I didnt watch all of the match but you cant go to The Den and not match them in terms of effort and physicality, which we didnt. When do we blame the players for their sub standard effort?
He sounds dull and uninteresting can't imagine much inspiration coming from him in the dressing room
I saw all the match and for me the selection was defensive as it was at Boro and wrong. Junior not great but far better than Wallace as at least he can run - he scored a great goal v Leicester and got the great assist to Maja at Norwich.
All this possession based play and 20 passes sideways and backwards is tedious and does not work. We need a creative midfielder with pace who can dictate the game and a rock on the pitch who is a captain. The fact that an ageing player who plays part games is a captain is poor. Makes you cry even louder now when Fellows was sold and we are stuck again with Wallace who didn?t play for a year!
For me - I honestly don?t mind losing if at least we go for it and it?s a good match. Did the 2000 fans today who travelled a six hour round trip and paid a fortune deserve to see this style of play? The answer is in the fact at least half of these supporters left on the third goal.
Early days of course but in life the majority are rarely wrong and there?s frustration out there. My expectation is still top ten but you do expect to see better team selections and performances than our last three away games albeit we got very lucky in one of them.
We have a very reactionary fan base. We were excellent against Leicester and should have won that by a few. We are getting the best away results we have had in a number of years.
We wont win all games and we are where we should be.
I just think fans need to stop the whole hes not the answer nonsense when we lose given we are a side expected to be mid table. We will lose from time to time.
Interesting comments? On Facebook? Highly unlikely in fairness. Thank fk I haven't got access to read any of them. A small blessing given what my eyes witnessed yesterday.
An even bigger blessing being I didn't part with the thick end of 200 quid for the privilege of doing it in person. Watching the game from a settee has its benefits 😎.
We have a rookie manager learning on the job, nobody expects to win every game it?s just not possible, however what the supporters expect is to match the opposition for commitment, strength and endeavour, the games v Boro, Norwich ( to a certain extent) and Millwall showed none of that, he needs to learn from his mistakes very quickly, is he stubborn or being badly advised by his coaching staff, this possession football doesn?t work in the Championship there are too many hard working sides, we don?t give our selves a chance passing 15-20 times in our own half giving the opposition chance to get back into shape, it?s pedestrian football and boring to watch, we had it under Corberan and we all know how that ended.
Mason needs to up his game otherwise we could find ourselves in the bottom half by Christmas
We all want him to do well but as we know Coaches these days don?t get long, being stubborn maybe his downfall
