    Jolly Boys Outing

Off tomorrow on a coach trip to Sowfend to watch my local team, Folkestone Invicta, play in the FA Cup. Not expecting much as the opposition are 2 leagues above us in the football league pyramid. However, we will have a good day out at the seaside similar to the Jolly Boys Outing in Only Fools and Horses. Let's hope the coach doesn't blow up!

    4th Round Qualifying I see.
My two local teams Halesowen and Stourbridge are already out so need to wait until the Albion are in the draw.
    Enjoy the seaside

How quickly fortunes change. I have watched Albion play at Southend three (I think) times and they won each game. I remember John Hartson scoring in one of them. At one time they were having a really good run and supporters who I knew were pretty optimistic of their chances of making it to the top flight.

Saw the score Tipps after your post and noticed they lost 4-1. Did the side give a good account of themselves and did you have a great day out?

Just got back from the game Al and the positive was that the coach didn't blow up! The gulf between a full time pro side and a team of part timers was obvious in the first 30 minutes and they went 3-0 up. After the break we dominated for most of the game and managed to get a goal back and pushed for the second but they broke away and got the fourth through a deflected goal. We all had a great day out though and can now concentrate on the league in which we are second at the moment. We've got our first home game of the season next Saturday because we have been waiting for our new 3G pitch to be laid. Be a nice change to get back to our home ground as we have had to play all games away from home so far. Onwards up uowards!

Glad you had a great day Tipps and I love non league as fun, entertaining and good banter. I like following Scarborough?s results with Jonno Greening the manager and they are second from top now.

Your first home game next week will be good and sure to attract a lot of fans.
