    Predictable

Burnley start fast but the final ball lets them down on numerous occasions then Chelsea score with their first meaningful attack.Typical.

We should have had a penalty. Their goalie clearly thought he had taken the goal kick by the way he ran back to his position.

Other than that mistakes, backwards and sideways too often.

Chelsea is a good team though.

We are just peeing up the wall against the top teams Swiss.Never made any clear cut chances. One corner.Never threatened their goal. Our only half chance was fluffed by Flemming. Then Chelsea score the killer on the break. All very predictable. It is soul destroying to watch. You know before a ball is kicked that we are going to lose and the tactics are clearly not to lose.I would prefer us to give it a proper go.

Okay so here goes put my tin hat on

First half we are very good but absolutely lack
Any killer instinct to score and make life difficult for Chelsea.

We have players on our bench who are better than the starters - Foster is a much better option than Anthony who I’m afraid had passive sideways itus.

The three midfielders centrally are too alike

Cullen had a poor game today played lots of balls blind around corners today and got caught in possession too much ( probably leggy from internationals )

Foster should start and so should Hannibal for me ( if not banned now ).
Parker’s job is to manage the lad and keep him on the straight and narrow - he’s a v good footballer doesn’t panic on the ball has time and also the gumption to drag players around and move into spaces.

We play all our football in front of the oppositions back 4 ( it’s too easy for them ) foster runs the channels and pulls centre backs and full backs out of position hence he should start.

Lastly I don’t know what Parker puts in the tea at half time but whatever it is he needs to change it ( whatever it is it’s negative ).

I still say todays game and Arsenal etc were free hits where we could have had a real go yes we may have lost 5-2 but we lost anyway as everyone expected.

I still say we set up in these games not to lose them but not to win them either and he can say he’s happy with performance and results all he wants - I dont believe he’s setting up
To win in most games - he’s hoping we get something but reality is he’s in charge and performance is his mantle.

We tried today and I’m fine if not good enough
But what I think is that true. Are we really trying to stretch them and have a go - ask yourself if we had a meaningful shot at there keeper ? I think we have players capable of scoring / shooting but it’s stifled by the manager.

No tin hat needed Army.It is as you see it.We simply have a manager who I believe is haunted by the 8-0 drubbing he received at Bournemouth after which he was sacked.I have seen his post match presser and he is happy with the performance. One corner, one shot on target straight at the keeper and no threat to their goal whatsoever so it begs to ask the question - what is the aim of Cardyball? To not get beat by 7 or 8 and as long as the lads put an honest shift in then that is fine? Why not try and at least have a go once we go behind but nothing chaged, in fact it got worse as we let Chelsea come at us and sat back for most of the second half.
I must be naive but I thought footie was supposed to be entertaining.

I guess we’re all managers on here CIB and BT always asks about the definition of insanity.
So why keep playing balls in the air to Fleming who couldn’t win anything against the two massive centre backs , here’s an idea get the wide men to turn their defence and run the channels , instead of sitting in and offering nothing offensively at all. ( to be fair to Loum he tried 3-4 times in 1st half )
As I said on previous post teams find it easy as We play football in front of their defence and not behind them ( if I can see that you can see at and ballcock - Parker can see it as well but he doesn’t address it even in the game ).
We are linked again with Seargent who’s a decent player but is he prolific or carry enough threat to keep us up -,I’d look at spending on a creative midfield man and a pacey wide man that will consistently go at teams - I think to be fair I’d take Seargent as his link up play is v good.

For me anyway for any chance of survival we are going to have to have a go at teams in games and really look to get beyond and stretch their defences otherwise just like Chelsea they’ll have the easiest afternoons against us.

Parker has made a rod for his own back imo as he seems to think it’s Ok to lose by a dignified margin as they are teams full of superstars and the result is the important thing - I’m the other way I’d like to see us actually compete and try and get something in a game.

Physcologically if you tell people enough that they?re better than you and it?s alright - well it becomes - alright and for me that?s a dangerous place to be.

Yeah Relegation looks odds on; no attacking intent and we still conceded 2 goals playing defensive! Same every game.

We spill possession far to easly, which invited a poor Chelsea side onto us. Created little and when we did, we didn't get a shot away.

We lack quality in the final 3rd and don't press aggressively enough. In the 2nd half we just sat back and let Chelsea walk all over us.

This was our best chance of getting something against a top 6 side today has Chelsea were out of sorts, and we never laid a glove on them.

If we are to give ourselves any chance of survival we have to stop giving the ball away.
Walker keeps spilling the ball but the biggest culprits are the wide men.
About time Parker dropped Anthony who presently offers nothing

Yes lots of wayward passing today BC.Our passing also seems slow when it needs to be quick and vice-versa.Anthony is a waste of space.Flemming was not much better. We looked more of a threat with Broja,Hannibal and Foster but it was too late for them to make a real impact.
