    Haw Jimmy

    An question for you.

I know how you were gutted when the independence referendum in Scothland went against you YES lot, and the SNP 'n' that are looking for an new referendum. The Scoth independence thing was about changing the status quo for youse lot but it got chucked out by around 55% to 45%. No change then.

Now there's the EU referendum thingy which is also about changing the status quo. So, if the country votes to stay in the EU, when should there be another one?

For me I think that would be too soon but there's quite a number of people wanting it and that seems to be gathering pace ..

But for me 10 -20 years would be fine.and yes it was the worst feeling in my life to have suffered that loss.

According to the polls we took the lead in the final 2 weeks the government panicked and offered us as you know 3 new powers

But the final result was we lost.. Put it to bed I say for a decade or two.

    I may not see it..

I'm just so anti Westminster it looks to me they don't care too much of people north of Watford you Cumbrian's deserve better

    That's my opinion.

    Sorry forgot the EU.

I'm voting to stay in it looks like there's a big lead on that in Scotland at the moment I think I've seen figures around 70% don't quote me on that.

But if our southern friends narrowly vote out Scotland can keep you in ..

    That's a staggering thought .
Are you voting in or out Griff.

I'm thinking OUT Jimmy. I was also hearing that's a lot of Scoths are thinking that voting OUT to get us out of Europe might bring an independence referendum round a bit quicker. Can't see the logic personally

I'm sure Scotland do well off of being in Europe ..

    There's the difference right there..

My son was speaking about it the other day.. He mentioned both sides the benefits and what's not good about it .

He's way over my head to be honest.

Will need to get the latest polls from Scotland regarding staying in as you know polls change week by week ..

But will say this whatever the result is I won't suffer pain from it.

The logic is straightforward enough. If Scotland wants to be IN Europe then a UK OUT vote will expedite an independence referendum.

Iiot. That bit's clear, but if the majority off of Scoths vote OOT then they can't say that they want independence to stay in Europe, can they?
