Deposit money via debit card press buy or sell and that's it!...No paperwork..all electronic and your shares are simply held in your account...Dealing costs vary but Halifax sharedealing which I use charge £15 I think for each deal.

Spread betters where you can sell a share that you don't even own are financial bookmakers..They allow you to bet long (buy) or short (sell)..They quote prices that follow the underlying financial market to a large extent....They don't take a position so it doesn't matter to them if you win or lose as their money is made on the spread ie difference between buy and sell price.

Again, you simply open an account and usually lose all your money within a month or two if you are in the 90 per cent loser group
I use The ShareCentre which is an online dealing service. Costs me £24 per quarter for a frequent dealer cost and then I pay £5.25 per deal. From memory if you don't want the frequent dealer cost' you can trade for £7.50 per deal. cant place deals in some specialist ETFs but for the most part I have found them good. Been with them about 3 years.

Another more expensive option is Barclays Stockbrokers - another online service. I use them also and they have a wider range of stuff, ETFs, overseas markets and particularly good if you ever wish to access smaller gold producers which predominantly trade on the Canadian and Australian stock markets. I've been using this one for about 12 years and it's been good.

    Jackpot!

    It's a fire sale

    Avanti is toast.

I am hoping some mugs buy early tomorrow to push up the price and I will open up yet another short.

I would price this company at about 10p and that's with a white knight riding in.

Champagne time as I sold it down from 150 !!

    Geeterman

We are talking serious money here and understandably the two members concerned wish to remain anonymous.

I can only speak for myself...I have closed 4 substantial sell bets on Avanti and have a modest one left open to try and take a bit more out of this dog..I have a stop loss incase some nutter buys the company for more than a bag of crisps so all is good.

As you well know all is well documented on here.

I am now selling Igas and there will be an announcement of significant interest today which should drive the price downwards

Thank you for your ongoing interest and I promise to keep you in the loop.

Kempo..... I trust you took a long look at Dixons/Carphone like I said..... Up another 3.9% today.....totally bucking the Brexit panic scaremongers trend...now they've locked into the US market with the mobile network they are due to record a $40-50 million profit annually from this venture....

They are looking to sell off their European arm in Norway and Greece even though they generated £17 million profit last year....furthermore with the impending closure of another 100 single stores and creating more 3 in 1 stores incorporating Currys PC World and Carphone warehouse the futures looking exceedingly bright....

Don't miss the boat on this one even though it has sailed slightly out of port since I posted last week ....I'm in for some more....long term I may add....before it's too late....

My advice is learn about and then buy *******. It's supply just halved and over the next few months this should push the price even higher than its current $670.

Volatile, unpredictable, and unique. There's no other investment in the history of the world quite like it, and nothing with such an incredibly high risk to reward ratio and don't invest more than you can afford to lose. Get in before the banking world does.

Good luck brin with Dixons and same with *******s John.

Never mind Geeter..We have Brin involved in put and call options as well as just passing the 6 per cent threshold in Dixons, John2 making his fortune in currency binary trading and yourself?....Evening bar work and today sold a pack of guitar strings on eBay......But fair play to you Geeter at least you are out there busting a (cat) gut for a $..Well done again!
