It`s still called Maid Marian topsy. The smugglers pub is also there.
We had a week in our touring caravan early May, loved it.
    Might have to nip back

    Fantastic villa...

I am slightly envious of this life of catching buses and holidaying in caravans.

I guess that the caravan site has a club house with those old wooden tables and chairs with beer swilling, bingo maybe perhaps volunteers stepping forward to sing a Tom Jones song...Bliss!

Maybe you can still buy a bag of cockles from a random bloke who turns up at 930pm for no obvious reason but yes..people buy them.

I would like to live some of this simple life but I'm not sure Mrs K will fancy it.

She still suffers thinking about the time I took her into a Rotherham chippy and she ordered a saveloy in her posh voice and was told.' we don't do saveloys here darling just battered sausage'

I have to be desperate to get a bus , never have a clue when they are going to turn up.

I do coaches for away games sometimes though.

Miss maid Marion was the highlight

We had some great holidays with family, loved to go on beach in a morning with our Golden Lab, then walking back past the caravans, smelling the bacon cooking in them, when we had great weather.
We had a club on site, where they did bingo upstairs & just a ordinary pub down stairs, when we came out of the club on a night I used to get some bread & chuck on top of bingo callers caravan, then next morning around 4 am he had the seagulls dancing on his van, used get him wound up, he always complained in the club at night announcing he couldn't get some sleep.
Happy days, until the sites owners started upping the ground rents etc.

The simplest answers are usually the best.

Forgot to mention Lakeside Leisure not too far from Chapel, ideal for kids
I've travelled all over the world ( not bragging ) and most of the UK. I'm as happy at Chapel as I am on a beach in Cyprus.
An holiday is what you make it not where you go.
