    Eric Black

He's now been named in this corrupt naming and shaming. I just knew Rovers would be involved in this disgraceful farce. Nothing at all to do with Venkys. That's actually getting boring now. We have been employing very bent people for years. And those employees have been fleecing us. All the way back to Allardyce and I can bet it went even further. But let's keep saying the words Venkys and asset stripping ....and ignore the real criminals and people who have been using Rovers as a cash cow for years and years.
I seem to recall lots of people voicing their concerns when Black left? The same ones now are continually slating the owners and blaming anything and everything on them. But choosing not see this ever growing story of deep rooted corruption. And I bet we are very involved in all of that. Long before the owners turned up. I think it's time to grow up, sit up and take notice. You all welcomed some local mans money being shovelled in, which in turn started all this. We where there when this shambolic Premier League started. We where the ones with the money. Well, not us, but Jack Walker. Which invited the corruption. And the likes of Eric Black, Sam Allardyce creaming off the top. But nobody has a bad word t say about them. Disgusting really. But let's get back to slating the owners for wanting this money back.

Well you have surpassed yourself champs
the very man who allowed us to have that one off dream is now blaimed for the corruption in football
Jack walker isn't the cause for the extreme greed it's sky television and there multi million tv deals
shall we blame Finn and Williams now for being in on it?
what black and allardyce got up to probably won't involve rovers in the slightest
you seem keen to forget the fact we have had an agent running this football club
if you look at the set up after the clueless ones took over I would think the water is alot dirtier.

Who started paying the biggest wages? Stupid wages one could say?
An agent ran the whole club eh? Who put him in charge Robin? The owners.
And who chose these owners? You? Nope.
    Me? Nope
    The Walker Trust?
Ah .....that's where your whole self righteous argument falls down doesn't it.

Not at all champs I recognise alot of blame falls at their feet
they lost interest in the very club the great man passed over they wanted out asap
venkys wanted to open their brand on a global scale again no real interest in the club itself
so yes the walkers trust deserve alot of blame as do the FA for failing to implement sufficient measures to prevent the massacre that has been venkys ownership
so in fairness I am not without eyes I know who is to blame but on the other hand venkys are far from blameless.

It's quite simple really - JW did not invent greed , underhand dealing, corruption etc. No that's a trait of a proportion of mankind , and has been for some considerable time . Way way back and beyond the emergence of the Prem , turn of century, the Egyptions etc etc.
Where there is money you will find the above, it's in all walks of life.
As the game has got richer and richer so has the temptation and rewards.
Does anyone seriously believe if no JW, no problem ??? Come on !

I don't subscribe to Sky, never have. Stopped watching Prem quite some time back, don't even read about it. It's a cess pool.
    Don't recall JW launching Sky.

The fashion industry in the biggest on the planet. That's not corrupt. So I don't subscribe to that notion. Not in the slightest. Nobody will recall JW launching Sky. As it didn't happen. Plus at no point was that even suggested.
What you WILL recall is, as it launched, due to Walkers money, Rovers found themselves breaking the British transfer record. Then paid the highest wage in British football. Before the very first Premier league season started. You recall that? And you also recall Rovers (due to Walkers money) then broke it again signing Sutton. And doubled the weekly wage structure paying him 10k a week. Prior to that it was no higher than £3,500 a week. You recall that?
And that, right there in that one transfer, began the obscene weekly wages we now see that has spiraled out of control. You recall that? It was not our fault. It was always going to happen. We just happened to be around right at the very start. By proxy, we started it. And it did happen. No Sky money had come into our club or the game at that point. As it was the first season or two.

And had if they hadn't have been handed that money, then they would simply have hovered between the 2nd and 3rd tier of English football. Like they had 30/40 years up to that point.

Do you know what champs I would love football to go back to that however it won't
    It's gone to far now
250000 a week for Wayne Rooney knock a zero off of that and that's somewhere handy what I earn a year
I feel I work quite hard for my money
would Rooney feel the same for his
It's easy to blame walker and the money he put into the club however if it wasn't him somebody else would of done that is blatantly obvious
I guess around the same time United and Liverpool continued paying 3500 a week in wages?
    I think not.

I have to disagree with this, at the top end it's very corrupt, as there is lots of money floating around. Same with the oil industry, the arms industry and any other industry awash with cash. Rich people get in on any act where there is rakes of cash and rich people are, by and large, corrupt. Wealthy people are greedy *******s and that's that. Just look at the global economy, people are starving to death, whilst others cry because they are being asked to pay 5% tax for the billions of pounds they earn from the nations they trade in.
