Congrats Cubbies. Many of us in the Tampa Bay Area feel as if it is a victory for us down here. So many ex Rays. Our old manager and your MVP of the series Zobrist was a hero down here.

I cant get excited about the game of 'rounders' Stateside... but are you a fan of the NFL as well (maybe not if the TB Buccs are your local team )
Michigan, how 'bout them Cowboys eh ? Dallas are looking good at the moment on the back of two total rookies performances (Prescott & Elliott). That O/T win for us against those dirty Philly scumbags showed a lot to be honest.

There is an interesting topic on Aberdeen mad (a good forum, worth a read) about the Indians and the fact that Chief Wahoo maybe seen as racist now? Same with other sports, Atlanta Braves, Redskins, etc.

Is this true or just another excuse for a politically correct argument about nothing?

Elliott came from Ohio State, Michigan's big rival. Very very good player in college. I've been surprised he's done so well in the NFL because high running back draft picks typically aren't all that great. He's got a fantastic offensive line blocking for him though. I imagine he'll be a good one for a long time as long as he stays healthy. He's fast, big and powerful.

I think the depiction of their mascot is racist. I don't know if the name Indians itself is racist, but I have no doubts that te origination of choosing the name was racist. Redskins is a racial slur. Nobody would tolerate a team called the New York Ni**ers, so not sure why we tolerate the term R*dskins.

Native Americans (across North, Central and South America) are amongst the most marginalized people groups in the world. In the States, it is despicable how they are treated. Ridiculous portrayals of them in classic movies in the 20th Century and wretched treatment of their people in social studies textbooks. There's obvious environmental racism going on with Native Americans in the Dakotas right now in regards to the Dakota access pipeline. And barely any mainstream news coverage of it. Pretty despicable.

Hes been called the 'new' Tony Dorsett, Herschell Walker, Emmit Smith etc (and thats quite a compliment for any Dallas runing back).
And havent I said on here for a few years now that Tony Romo is NOT a winner, hes not got that thing about him as a QB and Dak Prescott has blown him away to be honest.
Looking at your teams division by the way, Minnesota have been a surprise for me this season and Chicago have absolutely sucked lol.
