0-0 never looks like a good result does it '71, but this also depends on the opposition and what the clubs current form is.
We've drawn our last two games 0-0, and one of them was looked at as a good point (away at Burton), and today was looked at as 2 points dropped (at home to Wigan).
For those who went today, what did you think of Preston as the home team ?

Looks like Paul Lambert has a huge task on his hands. Huge.

    Not just yet.

It is glaringly obvious where our problems lie and today, whether it was a fluke or not, we didn't concede.

I'm hoping the goals will come but we need to be harder to beat.
I think the Preston result was a good one, regardless of how we played. In League matches this season, we have never got the early goal to give us a platform to build on. The sad thing is that I can't see the situation changing in the near future. I was very pleased that PL gave Enobakare a run out. The Cavaleiro and Dicko partnership looks promising.

I wonder if PL will make many changes for the Owls match?

I realise it's early days for Lambert so I don't wish to be too negative, but as far as our defence is concerned I think P.L. needs to go 'window shopping' in January. If he's serious about taking Wolves back to the 'Prem' then, surely, he'll be aware that any chance of achieving that end with our current 'lot' will be way beyond his capability (or anyone else's come to that).

From a PNE viewpoint you gave as good as you got particularly in the first half where i thought your team worked hard and closed us down limiting North End to very few chances. 2nd half wasnt much better in terms of outfield skills on display but both sides had a couple of half chances however i thought we had the pick of the bunch in 3 good chances which we didnt put away or at least get on target. I thought the penalty claim would have been harsh in that Vermijl went between 2 centre halves and i dont think he quite got to the ball. From your point of view at least your team played as a unit but I suspect at home you will need to show more appetite going forward but i suppose Lambert has to start with the basics and it will be interesting to see how you play in the next half dozen games particularly at home.

Good luck for the rest of the season !!!!

I just think they looked pretty solid at the back, Wolves didn't give them many problems until both Cavaleiro and Dicko came on. Preston as already stated by gardsPNE, had the better of the chances. I don't know why, but for an inform side, i expected more. But you can only play as well as the opposition allow you to. Preston can mix it, what i mean is, can pass the ball about, but also lump it forward when needs must.

I think most PNE fans like you said 71 where expecting more but I think it was a mix of Wolves not letting us have more than a couple of seconds on the ball and us not quite being at the races. We will see when we play Burton at home this Saturday and see how we react.

we have upped our game since playing your lot Acido but to be fair to Wolves they rarely let us rest on the ball and note in our recent run we beat Udders 3-0, Norwich away 1-0 and drew at Brighton 2-2 with Newcastle being the only blot on our recent form and that was because the ref absolutely robbed us of at least a point.
