Casper64Frank Price cost us the game. We were making all the chances. Any championship class keeper would have held on to the ball that resulted in there 1st goal.

Price didn't cost us the game gwru, poor defending & a lack of pace up front cost us the game.
You can have as many chances as you like but if you don't take those chances then you won't win games. We got away with conceding goals in League 1 & 2 because we were scoring more to win games.

Horrible season and I'll just be glad when its all over.

I look forward to hopefully being competitive in L1 and winning some games, especially away.

Actually what is the point of Rotherham United, what should the club be?
We have a chairman who talks big and delivers small and seems utterly out of his depth at Championship level. He has created an unholy mess by appointing some of the worst managers in recent times and is now gripped by uncertainty and doesn't seem to have a clue what to do next.
The club needs overhauling from top to bottom, starting in the board room where people with proper football knowledge have to be appointed.
Scrap the disastrous Technical Committee, decide on a viable strategy (plan) and put everything in place to make it work.
No more of your hot air and bullshine Mr Stewart, it's time (long overdue in fact) for you to get to grips with this or the club will continue to go into decline.
Just bloody well get on with it!

They were just as slow as us at the back. A game that would be suited for people to have a run at them or around them, why not play Taylor. Given the L1 quality of the fixture, and he was a good L1 player.

Totally agree mellow the clubs been run like a sunday league outfit, and will never gain stability while being run this way. There will be less money next year, and obviously less season ticket sales, and anyone expecting a quick return to the championship is going to be very disappointed imo. As we are set up now we will struggle in the pub league. UTM!!

Well my view was Price should have held the ball, a bad error.

Most depressing for me is that Burton played a style used by most of the teams in league 1 and we couldn't cope with it.

When the ball 'got away' from the keeper, there were two forwards on hand to take advantage, only one defender. The type of goal we simply don't score, it was a team failure, not due to one individual error.

Poor result against poor opposition. We should have been at least 1-0 up before their two soft goals. What has happened to Fisher? Thought he was a ray of hope at the start of the season but he seems to have no confidence and is making simple yet costly mistakes.

The few remaining fans who thought we might stay up must be resigned to relegation now. I suspect TS is. I hope he is. We need to start building a team now which will more than cope at L1 level. So TS needs to authorise the complete rebuild of our team now. Spend money (ha ha) in January to bring in players that add real L1 quality. Get rid of the majority of Stubb's legacy. Then test those players out against Championship teams between now and the end of the season. Say cheerio to any hope of staying up and play an attacking style of football that befits Rotherham United. We will ship in goals but who cares, we are down. Then with better quality new players (Good L1 players) the defence will eventually gel and we will concede less. Confidence will grow within the team and they will be more than ready to take on the challenge next season. See if between now and the end of the season we can build something that goes into next season as a strong unit, more than capable of challenging at that level. I hope we don't wait until the close season to begin the rebuild.

No blame attaches to Warney. Said it before he is not our manager. I worried this week when I heard comments from him - a win last night might have convinced him he was our messiah. He is the fitness coach doing a decent stand in job with a squad of very ordinary players. Keep your day job Warney, it's more secure and the fans love you. Be under no illusions that you would be toast in quick manner if you ever considered taking on the role of manager. Last night's defeat ensures you don't anyway.

Do you honestly think TS listens to anyone Pete, he got lucky with big Steve since then he ambles from one expensive disaster to the next lol, can't wait for the next appointment.

Nothing epitomises our last three seasons more than two league defeats to Burton Albion. We've made no progress whatsoever in the Championship, to say we've stagnated would be a compliment, to say we're naive would give us undue credit. We've been very badly prepared every year; learned nothing from our time here; been very poorly led, on and off the field; recruitment has been driven more by frugality and desperation than thought or direction; we're heading for the worst season in our history and the worst of any team in the Championship... In essence, we're totally clueless and an embarrassment to the League we purport to represent. The sooner we return to League 1 the better for all concerned.

Am I being too harsh? I think not. There are people at the club who seem to live in a dream world. The sooner they wake up to the stark reality of our situation, admit there are deep-rooted problems and recognise that drastic action is needed the sooner we can start to regain some form of stability and, hopefully, develop the cohesive forward plan that has been sadly lacking since Wembley. Relegation is a very high price to pay, in many ways, but if that's what it takes to open closed eyes so be it. Regrettably, despite the rhetoric, reaching the Championship seems to have been the height of our ambition.

I've been around long enough to know 'our place' in the football hierarchy and I fully accept the competitive arguments and the divisiveness and unfairness that exists today but what I can't accept is my club not showing the fight, passion and determination that first attracted me to Millmoor well over half a century ago. History dictates that, inevitably, our stay at this level would be short-lived so I was resigned to 2, 3 or 4 years at most. What I wasn't prepared for was the meek, submissive, gutless way in which we've surrendered that status.
