Also, well done to supporters that were there. The Kop won't soon forget when Wolves came to visit.

You may be right, like you say the transfer fee should not be an obstacle but the salary he will want may be. We shall see.

"He that outlives this day and comes safe home,
Will stand a tip-toe when this day is named,
And gentlemen in Wolverhampton, now a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here."

    Appropriate I think.

Clearly he does! Glad I did not change my prediction.

Today is a day i'll never forget for as long as i live. I was lucky enough to be at Anfield when Stephen Ward scored the only goal, i thought that would be it in terms of winning there. The FA Cup has been a competition down the years where in my opinion Wolves haven't gone for it, today and at Stoke they showed no fear. The atmosphere created by our fans throughout the game was second to none.

To take the lead so early in the game was so good and eased the nerves, a great delivery from Costa, and a good header by Stearman. Wolves looked good on the break and stood up well to Liverpool. Costa was a danger and it was a shame for him not to get on the score sheet with his solo run. But he again played the provider, superb run and then ball to play in Weimann, the latter made it look so easy to score.

I expected Liverpool to throw the kitchen sink at Wolves, the introduction of Coutinho gave their fans a lift. Wolves to a man withstood what Liverpool threw at them. It was just a shame we couldn't keep out Origi's effort. A mention of Harry Burgoyne, a relatively quiet afternoon, but at 2-1 he made the save with his legs. All to a man today, excellent and they all deserve the praise that have got since the game ended.

On the way back some were pointing to the balance of play and how much of the ball the home side had, only one stat that matters to me is our 2-1 victory. Both sides made changes today, despite the media only looking at the ones Liverpool made.

We got through so many emotions watching Wolves, and today was no different.

I hope you enjoyed it as much as i did, I'm still coming back down to earth after it.

The home side had 79% of the possession - just goes to show how ineffective they were with the ball. Five shots on target to Wolves 3. I think it was Alan Shearer who said that it didn't matter what team Liverpool had out there today, Wolves would still have beaten them because they were that good!
