I pay and go to games to watch the best players (on the day) try and win not to watch players train for next season.

We are not officially relegated yet so I expect them to put up a fight until then, then I expect them to show what they are capable off and if they should be here next season.

if only Blackburn did what we were then they would be down with us as well, shame they are showing fight isn't it

Fair enough MT but I can't agree with any assessment that suggests that Mattock is a better bet at left back than Purringoton, either in the Villa game or any other. The Joe Mattock of 4 seasons ago would be a stand out player for our team but this Joe Mattock has had a dreadful season punctuated with injuries and poor performances. We have been utter dogger in both full back positions all season long. If Mattock had been good enough then the signing of Purrington would not have been necessary. Joe will leave at the end of the season and I am not sure anyone in league 1 will take him. I suspect if he is fit, he will end up in league 2 at best where I wish him all the best.

I don't think Mattock is good enough for championship and I understand why Purrington was put in some games but I just thought Mattock would have had a better game against Villa especially pushing forward

I fear for Purrington if he plays tomorrow.
He will be up against Anthony Knockaert and the experience of chasing his shadow all night could scar him for life.
People say we are looking to next season now. Why? We don't even know who the manager will be. Unless of course TS is going to make another bad decision and keep Paul Warne in charge even though he doesn't have the requisite qualifications for the job.

have to agree m8. it looks as though the negativity around the squad is seriously effecting his game. on a slight positive. a couple of times saturday he spotted where the ball was going to be and set off (into his 2nd stride) before the defender had even moved, sadly by the time he reached his 4th stride the defender had caught up... derbyshire was great at this, he read the game really well and he wasnt blessed with pace.

Hi froggy, you know as well as I do that you can`t have sentiment in football, I too hope the retained list is made by the manager who is going to work with the player`s that are left.
At some stage the club will have to put some foundations in place rather than trying to build on quicksand like they have done.

The only players good enough for the Championship are Camp, Broadfoot, Frecklington, Ward and Newell (first half of last season).

When you look at it in this respect, I have to laugh at all Steve Evans' critics. The successive managers haven't got a clue.

    One a day.....

It means that Leeds priority is the league play-offs not the cup - as shown even by Huddersfield making 9 changes v City.

Felt sorry for the players that would have enjoyed that game - but Huddersfield were right to do so.

Do we need to worry about Yates when JCH is nearly fit. Just think about that penalty miss - never mind it won't be a problem as refs don't give us penalties anymore, it's this seasons new rule

the main problem isn't the players it's the lack of a manager to set them up,train them etc.

I cannot stress enough how much of a bad decision it was to leave Paul Warne in charge for this long.

to say he wanted to stay in the championship than he does that is kind boggling
