    Robins new Coventry manager...,

Yes this has been mentioned by MT on the other manager casualty post but I felt this warranted more than just a quick two liner...

Glad to see Mark back in the game as I feel he may still have a lot to offer...,

The miracle he pulled off with that -17 points still goes down as a master return for me..,

Yes his head was turned by the lure of more money but I blame TS for allowing such a young promising manager to even speak with the Tykes....

Who knows what he may have achieved given the time and resources....

Always found him to be a private man who definitely played his cards close to his chest... never spouted who he wanted he just got on with the role and only rolled out the player once they had signed.... shame things didn't progress any further with RUFC....

Good luck to him in trying to save Coventry it's a big ask but he's dealt with worse as well we know!

Not in my eyes..... football can be a short lived game once you've stopped playing so if you're allowed by a poor chairman at the time to speak to another club then it speaks volumes to gain a more lucrative contract for your family and yourself..... check out how many players have done one to get signed on elsewhere..... Don Revie .... England to Saudi Arabia.... it happens all the time pal..,,

I remember when we 'poached' him if thats the correct term and he was placed on gardening leave etc.. It doesnt bring back good memories, but yes it does happen Brin and how many of us would do the same. He was as dour as hell when talking to the media of course but he was a managerial step up for us after Simon Davey.
However when I heard him at Scunny a few years ago, he sounded like he was churning out all the usual miserable excuses and they wanted shut of him.
Good luck to him and Cov, they are BOTH going to need it !!

What I heard is that he has absolutely no sense of humour, tell him a joke and he just looks at you blank-faced.

I would have had him back though, would have improved the defence no end.
